The Three Types of Chimney Inspections

A level 2 inspection includes a video scan of the interior walls and flue liner to detect the presence of any cracks or abnormalities that can pose a fire, or health, risk.

Level 3:

When a level 1 or level 2 inspection reveals the potential of a severe issue in an inaccessible area, a level 3 inspection is required. It may require the removal or demolition of a masonry wall, chimney crown, or other components to locate and repair the source of the issue.
