\"CatchShingle Decay<\/h2>\n

Shingles that are cracked, torn, buckled, curling or missing are clues that roof repair is needed. Roofing shingles provide protection against water damage<\/a> for your roof\u2019s decking, truss system and underlayment material.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dips in the roof<\/h2>\n

If you can stand outside and see dips and concave areas of the roof, it needs to be looked at. A roof inspection will tell us exactly what\u2019s happening and how to solve it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stains on the Ceiling and Walls<\/h2>\n

A leaky roof will typically leave ugly stains on the ceiling and walls. By the time this happens, there may already be some rotted sheathing and framing, deteriorated insulation and active mold growth, all caused by intruding moisture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attic Moisture and Leaks<\/h2>\n

Roof leaks often are first spotted in the attic, so you should periodically check for signs of an active leak. A musty, moldy odor is an obvious clue, but don\u2019t wait for that. Look closely at all the top and side surfaces of the attic to see if water is getting through.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Keep an eye on your roof\u2019s boots, which run along the intersections of walls and the roof, and the flashing that surrounds air vents<\/a>, plumbing vents, the chimney and other components that protrude from the roof.
